REQUESTS

When we changerequests from Direct into Indirect Speech, we use the same construction as with commands, and use words like "ask" or "request". For example, "Would you pass the salt, please?" becomes - I asked you if you would pass the salt.

GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE, PLEASE!

Mary to her brother: "Please don't tell father howmuch it cost" becomes - Mary requested her brother ont to tell their father how much it cost.
